New Hayley Group’s branch in Poole

We are pleased to announce that at the beginning of April we opened our 40th Hayley branch. Our latest contribution is located in beautiful Poole in Dorset so it comes handy to our customers from the South of England. The branch is open on Mondays to Fridays, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Even though the branch has been open only for a few weeks, the Poole team has settled in well and their customers keep them busy already. The branch provides the same support as any other Hayley branch, offering an on-site trade counter holding a wide range of products, which guarantees immediate accessibility. The trade counter is open the full working week and there is no lack of parking capacities.

Hayley Group announces 50/50 partnership with Descours & Cabaud

Descours & Cabaud achieves a historic milestone in its international expansion strategy by acquiring a 50% stake in Hayley Group Limited in the United Kingdom

Thanks to this acquisition, Descours & Cabaud now covers 14 countries and thus enters the small circle of MRO B-to-B distributors able to operate over the entire European market.

Leader in wholesale distribution in France and a major player in Europe, Descours & Cabaud has acquired a 50% stake in Hayley Group, one of the leading MRO distributors in the UK.

This acquisition provides Descours & Cabaud with its first ever operation in the UK and is totally in line with the external growth strategy the Group launched two years ago.

Since 2014, Descours & Cabaud has greatly expanded its presence in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands with the integration of the companies Wiek de Laat Security, Kroon and Nomag; in Northern Italy where it has acquired CCRE; in Germany and Austria, where it acquired earlier this year the companies Rala and Steyr-Werner and most recently in Spain, with the companies Helios Dica and Bou.

Hayley Bearing Solutions Publish Issue 1 of First for Bearings

Hayley Bearing Solutions, the specialist bearing support team within Hayley Group, have published issue one of their brand-new First for Bearings magazine. The name making direct reference to Hayley Group being the primary bearing distributor in the UK.

The publication is the first in a series which will focus on the role of bearings, and the operational issues they face within a particular industry sector. It will also include the very latest product innovations from the world’s largest bearing manufacturers. The latter section of the magazine highlights the key technologies available to our customers, and emphasises how working with Hayley Group can really help to provide solutions and drive innovation. Issue one focuses on the ever-growing food and beverage sector and the specific bearing challenges and innovations relevant to the industry.

The initial First for Bearings magazine also includes a select few examples where Hayley Group have successfully worked with companies in the food sector to improve reliability, increase efficiency, and save money. We also put the spotlight on Wil Woodrow, based at Hayley King’s Lynn, who tells us his stories about providing Bearing Solutions to customers.

Fifty years is a long time in British industry.

Long enough to see factories modernise, supply chains stretch across the world, technologies come and go, and customer expectations change completely.

Yet some things remain stubbornly constant.

A machine still stops when a bearing fails. A production line still waits when the right component is missing. A maintenance engineer still needs someone at the other end of the phone who understands the urgency.

For HAYLEY DEXIS, celebrating 50 years in business is not simply a milestone. It is a reflection of a company that has spent half a century building itself around the practical realities of industry.

Behind the Scenes, Where It Matters

During a recent Made in the Midlands factory tour of HAYLEY 247 DEXIS, members saw that reality up close. There was no theatre to the operation - just pace, organisation and purpose.

Stock moved through the building. Orders travelled across systems. Teams worked through customer requests with the quiet confidence of people used to urgency.

It was a reminder that industrial supply is not just about what sits on the shelf. It is about what happens when a customer needs it immediately.

From its Midlands roots in 1976, HAYLEY DEXIS has grown into a national industrial supply and engineering services business, supporting manufacturers across sectors including food production, quarrying, utilities, agriculture, logistics and engineering.

Hayley Group expands its presence in the industrial heartlands of West Yorkshire

Hayley Group, one of the UK’s leading industrial supply specialists officially opened its Leeds Bradford branch on the 2^nd September 2019.

The 5,700 sq. ft. branch occupies two units on the newly-developed Newhall Nano Park, located off Newhall Way, Bradford. The site is built on the grounds of a former golf course and has been constructed with Yorkshire stone to keep in tune with the local architecture. Hayley Leeds Bradford is a two-minute drive from the M606 spur off the M62 motorway, connecting the branch to the major West Yorkshire transportation arteries.

Unit 1 houses a trade counter containing leading-brand consumables such as lubricants, PPE and tools, with two floors of warehousing covering bearings, chain, sprockets, pulleys, through to hydraulic and pneumatic fittings. Unit 2 has been utilised for the bulk storage of motors, geared drives, torque arms and provides capacity for workshop facilities.

The dedicated Fluid Power division at Hayley Group have been working on a brand-new brochure that is able to communicate their rich product and service offering to customers operating specifically in the food and beverage industry. The team are proud to announce that this brochure is now available as a digital download from the Hayley Group website, and as a physical print on request.

Hayley Fluid Power have produced the 12-page brochure to showcase the solutions available for businesses in the industry who face common challenges around the need for high speed, high volume, and round-the-clock production, as well as the requirement to meet exacting hygiene standards. In light of this, some of the products that are included are; hygienically-designed components, air filters, process valves and actuators, and condition monitoring devices to improve maintenance planning.

Additional services and technologies provided by Hayley Fluid Power, proven to deliver valuable benefits such as maximising production and efficiency, and reducing both energy costs and the risk of mechanical breakdowns, are also incorporated. Job Title: Internal Sales/Support (Bury St Edmunds)

Location: Unit 2, Greyfriars Road, Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds, IP32 7DX

Full Time Working Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings by rota. Additional working hours may be required during busy periods

Purpose:

Projecting a professional company image through phone interaction, by undertaking a multi-tasking role encompassing customer communications, promotion & profitable sale of goods across the product range, providing supply-chain solutions to customer requirements, and associated administration and support tasks.

Main duties & responsibilities:

- The efficient response to incoming phone enquiries and orders

- Achieve profitable sale of goods across the product range, up-selling as appropriate

- Build rapport with customers, establishing credibility when providing product and service information

- Serve trade counter sales (suppliers and customers) in a professional manner
